Delightful Spring Dinner

I can’t believe how this year has flown by. I remember when I was a child back at school, feeling a little sad in February knowing we had to wait months for the Christmas season to commence. However, it now feels as though if you blink for too long, the year is over. Well, maybe that’s a tad exaggerated, but this year has certainly gone in a flash.

It was time to organise a dinner party! I simply love these beautiful lilac coloured flowers, the fragrant freesias and the stunning Lullaby roses. The table was also surrounded by Stock and more roses, along with a few scattered votives - it set the scene perfectly for some of my favourite people. Of course, the arrival of my Dior water glasses (a gift from my husband) certainly made the dinner sparkle in an extra special way, these glasses really are the jewels of the table. I just love them… I didn’t realise how much one could love a glass!

My dinner was for twelve guests, and my main dish was inspired by one of my guests after she saw and commented on an instagram image I posted one Saturday evening - Pasta Carbonara, a dish I have never prepared for so many guests. It was a magnificent evening!
